Doing backup using Carbonite service, mapped external drive now shows a lock on the backup folders

I am trying to allow Carbonite backup service to backup my music collection.
I had to map the external drive my collection is stored on in order for carbonite to recognize it.
But now, there are locks on the mapped folders that are not Carbonite to back
them up.
2 of the 3 main folders have the locks and the third folder does not (Carbonite does allow that folder to be backed up).
No security tab in the properties
