Getting errors like "Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website.
It appears that the website continues to have a problem."
I Did clear excess files, defragment disk, and disk cleanup etc.
but still slower than molasses in January. Arrrrgh! What next?

Unless you've turned it off, Windows automatically creates a restore point prior to installation of updates.
So did you look to go back in time before the last updates were done?
If in fact there are no more restore points to use, the next option would be to do a Repair Install, which allows you to reload Windows while still preserving all your drivers, programs and data.
Question for you - do you have a System Restore Disk, or a
Recovery Partition, or both?
