Bing search history

Hi all,
 
I made some seaches about a month ago on the Bing home page search bar when I was logged onto my email.
I log onto my email through outlook.com so I assume it has a microsoft account associated with it.
I use IE 9
 
I noticed a few days ago that the searches I made a month ago still appear on the bing search bar when I make searches or when I just click on the search bar to see the search suggestions. I go to manage search history and nothing appears under "my computer"
or "Your Microsoft account"  for all dates.
 
I have tired to delete the search history many times, but the old searches/ old search suggestions still appear in the bing search bar in purple lettering as if I just made those searches.
 
Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appricaited.

There seems to be an issue with clearing the bing history.

 
Perform steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

a: Browse to the Bing search engine and click the "Search History" link in the top menu bar.
Alternatively, if you have a Bing search results Web page open, locate the Search History section on the left-hand side of the
Web page, about halfway down, and click the “See all” link in that section.
b: Click “Clear” in the Edit History section on the left of the Search History page to remove your recent search history.
c: Click the “Yes, clear all search history” link to finalize the decision, removing the cookies associated with your Bing searches from the browser.
Instead of listing your searches, Bing will display a message confirming
search history has been cleared.
