Autorun/AutoPlay not working! Tried multiple solutions already, Not Fixed.

I have tried this solution and many others:

I have had no luck with any of those methods.
I have Autoplay setting's all to pop up and ask what I want to do but anything I put in I don't get anything popping up.

I put in a disk (game,music, etc...).
I put a USB in.
Nothing.

Is there any other solutions to this? I have no virus's and I believe it was actually a virus scanner that did it.
It warned me it would disable it but I don't know how to re enable it.

Any solutions? I'm on windows 7 Acer Computer.

Run CHKDSK

• In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
