The first concern is to add numbers (1,2,3 and so on) after or before the text.

The second concern is to sum or substract or multiply the numbers only out of the above text, like 1+2+3+4+5 or 1-2-3 and so on...
and gives the total output.

If this data are in column A put this in B1 and drag down to insert the numbers
=A1&" - " &ROW(A1)
or for the numbers on the left
=ROW(A1)&" - "&A1
The to add the numbers up on the right
=SUMPRODUCT(--RIGHT(B1:B12,LEN(B1:B12)-FIND("-",B1:B12)))
To sum numbers on the left
=SUMPRODUCT(--LEFT(B1:B12,FIND("-",B1:B12)-1))
