I have created a form template, but I'm very very green at creating templates with Word 2007. Let me explain what I have done and what I still need to do.

I have created 2 pages:

Page 1 - Service Order - on this page I have company name, address, contact, dates, quantity, part #, description, each price and
total price. I have created Legacy Fields for each of these. As well as created toggle fields to total the quantity x each price to get a
total price.

Page 2 - Bill of Lading - on this page of have created toggle fields so that it will automatically populate with the information from the Service Order.

Now with the Bill of Lading once you have the document protected you can't change anything other than enter the quantity you have shipped so that the customer can see what is shipped and what is back ordered. What I would like to see/do is the following:

Is there a way once the form is protected that we could copy and paste information from the Bill of Lading and past it into Excel if need be or vise versa?

Is there an easier/faster way of creating toggle fields to auto population rather than going through and doing it line by line. When this Form Template is finished I need it to be 10 pages long - 150 lines which need to populate on 4 Bill of Ladings. I
wish there was a way I could attach my document so that you can see what I have done.

Please help, I'm so close to creating a form that will create less work for our employees.

with a protected form which is the path you have started upon.
In this case the fields on your first page should be reproduced with REF fields on the subsequent pages and if you check the calculate on exit check boxes of the form fields the REF fields that
are not in the header/footer will be automatically updated.
If you want data in the header footer, you need to use Styleref fields.

As for extracting data from the form, for that you will need a macro.

The method there produces an Excel compatible comma delimited form, but the principle can be adapted to write directly to an Excel worksheet.

If you failed to fix it, another option is to call Microsoft and walk through the process with a technician. To do this, dial "1-800-936-5700". Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.
