deleting all browsing history

I am using internet explorer 8.
When I delete the browsing history it will not delete all of it.
How do I get it to delete all of the browsing history? I do have all the boxes checked off in the delete browsing history box but I still have the sites comming
on the drop down from the internet address.

In case you have some websites added to favorites or have subscribed feeds using Internet Explorer (IE), the same would not be deleted.
Hence it is possible that the sites coming down on the drop down are the ones that are added to the favorites list.

If you failed to fix it, another option is to call Microsoft and walk through the process with a technician. To do this, dial "1-800-936-5700". Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.
