Can I reset Windows 8.1 pro using Windows 8.1 installation DVD?

hi everybody
As my pc cannot accept the  reset option due to some files missing, even sfc /scannow could not succeed as some files remain corrupted.
i did came to conclusion to purchase a full 8.1 license.
the question  i am postin is following:
as i actually have a win 8.1 pro os regularly upgraded from  8,1 and due to fact  that full 8.1 pro costs too much for this purpose,
can i succeed resetting os with  just a win 8.1 new full dvd, which will cost less than half?

There is no need to buy Windows 8.1 pro DVD.
If you have Windows 8.1 pro product key after resetting PC your PC will restore Windows which was first installed that may be Windows 8 or 8.1.
You can add Windows 8.1 pro key to upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows
8.1 pro.

If you upgraded your PC from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and your PC has a Windows 8 recovery partition, resetting your PC will restore Windows 8.

• In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
• Click Save.
• The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
• You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.
